NOTE: If my calculations are correct, Schwerta appears to be modern day Świecie, Poland
Świecie (German: Schwerta) is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Leśna, within Lubań County, Lower Silesian Voivodeship, in south-western Poland. Prior to 1945 it was in Germany.
It lies approximately 5 kilometres (3 mi) south of Leśna, 15 kilometres (9 mi) south of Lubań, and 124 kilometres (77 mi) west of the regional capital Wrocław.
The village has a population of 570."

So, it looks like she came from a town 3 miles south of Marklissa and 9 miles south of Lauban.
NOTE: In the 1863 Civil War Draft Registration records, there is a man named Henry Walther or Watter, listed in Pittsfield at age 36 (making his birth around 1827). His place of birth is Germany. He is works in a factory. Could this man be a brother of Johanna? Real long shot...
