"Mary Louisa Frantz – known as Louise M. Frantz – Erdman’s (Edward) third wife, and my Grandmother... Cousin Erdman tells me Gramma Theinert brought Al Riang (person=9922) (Born 1881 Germany) with her to America. Al was her sister’s son. However, have since discovered that Gramma immigrated in 1890 and Al in 1895. Erdman also tells me plans for Gramma Theinert – while still in Alsace Lorraine – were for her to become a nun. Evidently, she did not want to do that and came to America. Gramma Theinert was born in 1868 when Alsace Lorraine was under French control she immigrated when it was once again under German control."
