Mrs. Henry Kaiser Has Birthday Party
Well Known Woman Presented Gold Cane by Her Friends
Thirty neighbors and friends of Mrs Henry Kaiser of Smith street were guests at a birthday party in her honor at the home of her daughter Mrs Walter Horn of Orchard street Thursday afternoon.
The house was prettily decorated for the occasion with flowers and ferns. The musical program was made up of old time songs and colonial songs were sung by Mrs Frank Malley, Mrs James Steel and Mrs Harry Ford accompanied by Mrs W K Tyler. Miss Paige Horn also played several coronet selections. The feature of the program was an entertainment by Mrs Kaiser's two small granddaughters, Pauline Horn and Nora Kaiser. Refreshments were served by the hostess assisted by Mrs George Howe and Mrs Walter Barber.
During the afternoon Mrs Kaiser was presented a gold headed cane by Mrs Frank Beebe in behalf of the guests. Before leaving all present were presented a potted plant as a favor.

On Anniversary
Family Party is Planned This Evening - Congratulated by Friends During Day
Mr and Mrs Henry Kaiser of Smith street are today observing the 57th anniversary of their marriage. Mr and Mrs Kaiser were married June 20, 1878 at the Congregational parsonage in this town. Both have been Adams residents all of their lives.
Mr Kaiser was employed for a number of years as overseer at the Arnold Lumber company after which he became an engineer in the jacquard mill of the former Refrew Manufacturing company. he later assumed the same position in Berkshire mill No. 3 where he worked for 30 years, until his retirement two years ago. Following his retirement from the Berkshire mill Mr Kaiser was employed in the capacity of supervising engineer in the Adams Brothers' mill until forced to leave last year on account of illness.
Mr Kaiser is a member of the Masons and Mrs Kaiser belongs to the Order of the Eastern Star.

MRS HENRY KAISER DIES AT HER HOME
Adams, July 21 - Mrs Mary Miller Kaiser, 79, wife of Henry Kaiser, won of the best known older residents of this vicinity, died at 1:45 this afternoon in her home, 8 Smith street. She had been critically ill since Sunday. Mr and Mrs Kaiser celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on June 20 and were guests of honor during festivities at the home of a son and daughter-in-law, Mr and Mrs Howard C. Kaiser of 4 Crandall street. At that time Mrs Kaiser appeared to be in excellent health.
Born at Savoy, a daughter of Calvin and Synanthia Miller, Mrs Kaiser came to Adams soon after her marriage. She had lived 50 years in the home where she died today. Mrs Kaiser was the oldest member of Franklin chapter of the Eastern Star, in which she held an honorary life membership and also belonged to the Congregational church.
