Jean-Baptiste DESMARAIS was the child of Benoit DESMARAIS   and   Marie-Agathe ST-JEAN dite LAPERCHE and the grandchild of: (paternal)  Louis-Michel DESMARAIS and Marie-Thérèse BOUSQUET (maternal)  Augustin-Joseph LAPERCHE dit ST-JEAN and Marie-Madeleine MORIN

He married  Marguerite FOURNIER 19 September 1803 in Saint-Hyacinthe, Lower Canada .  The couple had (at least) 2 children. Marguerite FOURNIER  was born abt. 1783 in Québec Province, Canada (Quebec).  She was the daughter of André FOURNIER and Marie-Luce BAILLE.

He married  (2) Magdeleine (Madeleine) LACASSE 20 November 1809 in Saint-Hyacinthe, Lower Canada .  The couple had (at least) 14 children. Magdeleine (Madeleine) LACASSE  was born 11 July 1789 in Saint-Michel-de-Bellechasse, Québec, Canada.  She died 2 December 1861 in Saint-Jean-Baptiste-de-Rouville, Québec, Canada.  She was the daughter of Joseph LACASSE and Marie-Apolline LACROIX.

Jean-Baptiste DESMARAIS died 1 April 1872 in Saint-Jean-Baptiste-de-Rouville, Québec, Canada.

NOTE: If date and place of birth are correct, then baptismal record is impossible to read. Not positive that this is the right date/ place, but it's close.
