He married  Catherine ALLARD 15 January 1787 in Yamaska, Province of Québec, Canada .  Catherine ALLARD  was born 6 March 1768 in Yamaska, Québec, Canada (Saint-Michel-d'Yamaska).  She died 29 December 1787 in Yamaska, Québec, Canada (Saint-Michel-d'Yamaska).  She was the daughter of Joseph ALLARD and Marie CARTIER.

He married  (2) Marguerite LOUPE dite ROCHELET (ROCHELAIS) 12 September 1791 in Saint-Denis-sur-Richelieu, Lower Canada .  The couple had (at least) 1 child. Marguerite LOUPE dite ROCHELET (ROCHELAIS)  was born 17 March 1770 in Montréal, Québec, Canada (Sault-au-Récollet) (Côte-St-Michel) (Côte-St-Paul).  She was the daughter of Jacques-Philippe LOUPE dit ROCHELET (ROCHELAIS) and Marie-Anne PIGEAU-LAJEUNESSE (BIJEAU, BIGOT).

Paul DESMARAIS died 5 March 1836 in La Présentation, Lower Canada .
