Sophie  married  François DESMARAIS 5 February 1827 in La Présentation, Lower Canada .  François DESMARAIS  was born 16 February 1794 in Saint-Hyacinthe, Québec, Canada (Notre-Dame-du-Rosaire) (Saint-Hyacinthe-le-Confesseur).  François died 8 November 1863 in La Présentation, Québec, Canada (La Presentation-de-la-Sainte-Vierge) .  François was the child of Paul DESMARAIS and Marguerite LOUPE dite ROCHELET (ROCHELAIS).

Sophie CHARTIER died 3 April 1837 in Saint-Hugues, Lower Canada.
