Mr. Jones received the divorce on the grounds of cruel and abusive treatment on the part of Mrs. Jones. Custody of Wilma was awarded to Mr. Jones and Mrs. Jones was awarded $804 per year in alimony (Lewiston Evening Journal, March 2, 1908).

Last Friday Orville R. Jones obtained the custody of his ten year old daughter Wilma, who since the trial has been living with her mother at the Jones home in the village. Mr. Jones has been living at the home of his sister, Mrs. Judson Bangs and the little girl was taken there. It is understood that although the child was not willing at first to go with her father she finally agreed to do so after some persuasion.
