"Jean was baptized on 16 September 1657 at Saint-Sauveur de La Rochelle. He married Marie-Francoise Gaudry, daughter of Nicolas and Agnes Morin, on 27 June 1678 at Quebec. The contract was notarized on 31 May by Gilles Rageot. They had fourteen children, seven boys and seven girls."
