NOTE: Response to inquiry on Ancestry.com -- 'Yes, Andras Kovalcsik and Elizabeth Tomko had one son Andras, born 9 AUG 1889 there in Felso Kamence, but I am sorry to say, it seems that he was born out of wedlock. Andras Kovalcsik was an Lutheran and Elizabeth Tomko was Helvetian confession.
They have very beautiful church there in Vysna Kamenica and that village is situated under mountains.

Andrew Korch, 28 years old, Mt. Pleasant street, sustained a three-inch cut at the top of his head while chopping wood at the rear of his home this noon at 12.30 o'clock. Mr. Korch, in raising the ax, came in contact with a clothesline, causing the blade to strike his head. The wound was dressed by Dr. Thomas H. Saunders.

1926 - Webster Man Kills Bobcat During Hunt
WEBSTER, Oct. 21. - One of the first bobcats shot in these parts for some time has been brought in by Andrew Korch of Webster and Philip Duffy of the Charlton district. The men were coon hunting together in the Charlton district and were at first under the impression that they had treed a coon. When they arrived at the tree two of the three dogs were barking up while the third and youngest dog acted strangely.

The Draft
Invention The microwave oven was invented accidentally in 1945 by Percy Spencer, a Raytheon engineer. While testing a magnetron, he noticed microwaves melted a candy bar in his pocket. Experimenting further, he discovered microwaves could cook food quickly. Raytheon patented the process, and by 1947, they built the first commercial microwave oven, called the 'Radarange.' Initially used in commercial settings, microwaves becomes affordable for home use by the 1960s and 1970s, revolutionizing cooking.
