Ernest C. Willett
TURNERS FALLS - Ernest C. Willett, 90, of 79 Fifth St., retired Boston & Maine Railroad yard brakeman, died Sunday at a Northampton hospital.
Born in Limestone, Maine, son of Cyril and Maria Willett, he had lived there 21 years. He had been a brakeman for B&M for more than 50 years when he retired. He was a member of the Brotherhood of Railroad trainmen and St. Anne's Church.
He leaves his widow, the former Philomen Willett; three sons, Leo J. and Edmond, both of Buffalo, N.Y., and Herman of Albany, N.Y.; four daughters, Mrs. Napolean LaFleur of Greenfield, Mrs. Harry Drew of Bernardston, Mrs. Albert Dorey of Deerfield and Mrs. William McGahan of Greenfield; 13 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be Tuesday at 8 a.m. at the McCarthy Funeral Home with a Requiem High Mass at 8:30 a.m. in St. Anne's Church. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
