Funeral

Funeral services for Mrs. Caroline M. Devore, 86, who died Sunday night at the home of her son, Albert Devore, 114 E. Twentieth street, South Sioux City, will be held at 2 o’clock Wednesday afternoon in the Methodist church at Ponca. Burial will be in the Ponca cemetery under direction of Becker’s funeral home. Mrs. Devore was born March 23, 1849, in Chillicothe, Ill. In 1865 she moved to Dixon county, Neb., where she remained until moving to South Sioux City five years ago. Survivors include five daughters, Mrs. Ella Bovier, Mrs. Ella Lakings and Mrs. Ada O’Donnell, all of South Sioux City, and Miss Carrie Devore and Mrs. Minnie Whitlock of Sioux City, and two sons, Leonard of Ponca and Albert of South Sioux City. Twenty-eight grandchildren, 50 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren also survive.
