François CAYA was the child of Antoine CAYA (CAILLA)   and   Catherine-Antoinette VANASSE dite PRÉCOURT and the grandchild of: (paternal)  Joseph CAYA (CAILLA) and Marie-Anne TROTTIER dite BEAUBIEN (maternal)  Antoine VANASSE dit PRÉCOURT and Marie-Louise ROBIDAS dite MANSEAU

François  married  Marie-Luce CHASSE 7 February 1804 in Baie-du-Fèbvre, Lower Canada .  The couple had (at least) 1 child.
Marie-Luce CHASSE  was born 8 August 1781 in Kamouraska, Québec, Canada (Saint-Louis) (Saint-Alexandre).  Marie-Luce died 13 July 1852 in Saint-François-du-Lac, Québec, Canada.  Marie-Luce was the child of Jean-Baptiste CHASSE and Elisabeth LEVASSEUR.

François CAYA died 7 December 1865 in Pierreville, Yamaska, Canada East .
