DEATH OF DANIEL S. TALLMAN

Friends and relatived of Daniel S. Tallman were shocked on Saturday by the notification of his death. He was born at Sherwoods in this county 80 years ago, and resided here until about 1854 when he moved to New York where he engaged in the wholesale dry goods business, in which he was engaged until some years since when he retired from active work. He was a son of Dr. Matthew Tallman and leaves surviving him two daughters and one son and a grandson and granddaughter, children of the deceased daughters.

For several years past he has annually visited Auburn, stopping with his niece Mrs. E.S. Newton, of William street. Those who knew him best will testify to his character and even temperment and will miss him sadly.

Funeral service will be held at his late home No. 10 West 102nd street, New York, to-morrow at 12:30 p.m.
