Marie-Josephe MELANSON was born 6 December 1713 in Port Royal, Acadia. Marie-Josephe MELANSON was the child of Pierre MELANSON   and   Anne GRANGER and the grandchild of: (paternal)  Charles MELANSON dit LAVERDURE and Marie DUGAS (maternal)  Lawrence (Laurent) GRANGER and Marie Henriette LANDRY

Marie-Josephe was deported as part of the Acadian Exile / Grand Derangement around 1755.

Marriage(s) and Child(ren):

She married  Claude DUGAS 29 MAY 1731 in Port Royal, Acadia .  Claude DUGAS  was born 14 January 1710 in Annapolis Royal, Annapolis, Nova Scotia, Canada / Port Royal, Acadia.  He died 3 September 1792 in Saint-Jacques, Québec, Canada (Saint-Jacques-de-Montcalm) (Saint Jacques de l’Achigan).  He was the son of Abraham DUGAS and Madeleine Marie LANDRY.

Marie-Josephe MELANSON died 19 October 1793 in Saint-Jacques, Lower Canada .
