The microwave oven was invented accidentally in 1945 by Percy Spencer, a Raytheon engineer. While testing a magnetron, he noticed microwaves melted a candy bar in his pocket. CUMMINGS - In this city, July 8. Delcay (Belair) Richford Cummings foremerly of Shrewsbury wife of the late Joseph A Cummings.

Funeral from the Graham Funeral Home 838 Main street Saturday July 11 at 8 a.m. followed by a solemn high mass of requiem at Our Lady of Fatima at 9 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. Burial in Notre Dame Cemetery. Calling hours today and Friday 2 to 4 and 7 to 10 p.m.
