Biography
He and his twin brother James were the third and fourth of nine children and the eldest sons of Daniel Prince (1755-1828), a former British soldier under Gen. Burgoyne who settled in Williamsburg after Burgoyne's surrender, and his wife Mary (Packard) (1754-1816). He was born in Williamsburg Dec. 22, 1784 and baptized in the Williamsburg church March 27, 1785. What remains of his gravestone, beside the southern boundary wall of the cemetery, says he was 'of Springfield, Mass.'
