Obituary
The Christian Advocate - 1892
SALISBURY.--Stephen F. Salisbury died at the home of his son-in-law, M. J. Pratt, in Homer, New York, February 20, 1892, in his 77th year. He was converted when about fifteen; a large portion of the time since then he has been an official member of the Methodist Episcopal Church. Naturally retiring, he was yet a faithful participant in all the means of grace. To him the church was a place of delight, and he freely gave to its support. A few years ago he presented the church at Homer a pipe-organ in memory of his deceased wife. Brother Salisbury was a farmer and gathered a competency, which he always administered in the interest of God's cause. For many years he was a constant reader of The Christian Advocate. A wise and judicious councilor is gone. Two daughters remain: Mrs. Clarence Walter Root, of Lansing, Ingham County, Michigan, and Mrs. Melvin J. Pratt, of Homer, New York.
