Modeste MARTEL  was born 28 July 1798 in Les Éboulements, Québec, Canada (Notre-Dame-de-l'Assomption-des-Eboulements).  Modeste died 20 January 1846 in Saint-Irénée, Charlevoix, Québec, Canada (St-Irenee).  Modeste was the child of Etienne MARTEL and Elisabeth GONTHIER.
