Moses Stegall was a Baptist preacher. He had one deformed foot.
12 May 1787, Moses Stegall purchased land in Anson, North Carolina and in 1795 received State grant for 50 Acres.
Moses Stegall moved to North Carolina in 1790 and bought property on Nigger Head Creek. He was a preacher and family tradition states that on one of his preaching circuits, he fell from his horse and froze to death at the age of 105. The 1830
North Carolina census lists his age 90-100. Moses Stegall was born with a club foot.
