Rene {De} LaVoye and Marguerite Bouchard
"The census of 1681 indicates that Rene Lavoie was a domestic servant at the Seminary of Quebec. On 4 November 1683, he married Marguerite Bouchard, daughter of Claude and of Louise Gagne. The young couple were at their wooded estate in Petite-Riviere by 1684 there they raised ten children and accumulated some wealth...About 1722 this Rene occupied himself with fishing for porpoises. He was even a Captain in the militia for his region. Loved by all, Rene died on 8 December 1731, at the age of 74."
