1904 Divorce Case
At the opening of the court the divorce case of Fred L. Popple vs. Cora A. Popple was heard. The petition set forth desertion as the ground for divorce. The parties were married Sept. 16, 1889, and lived together in Baldwinville until November 1898, when the libelant enlisted for service in the Spanish War. On his return the libelee said she was sick of living in Baldwinville and tired of married life anyway. She went away and libelant tried to induce her to return, and she replied that she did not want to go back. She was living in Cleveland, Ohio, the last time libelant knew anything of her whereabouts. Decision reserved. George R. Warfield for libelant.
