Born near Gothenburg, Sweden, immigrated with parents to the US possibly through England 1894-1896. Family photo shows him on a horse-drawn lumber wagon in Sweden. His parents and an uncle immigrated to the same area of NW Pennsylvania where they also did farm labor. He died of typhoid fever 1925 when my mother was 5. He had asked his wife to make sure the children (5) stayed together. As no one could afford to keep them, they went to the Knights of Malta orphanage in Granville, PA, Their best known home was in Lake City, PA told to me by two family genealogists.
