Born In Iceland - Immigrated to Canada in 1876- Travelling with Nine of her children. Her husband in Iceland changed his mind and decided they should not go to Canada. Our Great-Grandmother made her mind up that she was going to Canada and so she did. Her husband was disappointed and asked if one of the children would stay with him?
One of their son's, named ______got off the ship and stayed with his dad.
Oddny sailed to Canada in 1876 and raised her children eight children on their new Home-Stead- on the shores of Lake Winnipeg, near Arnes, MB-Canada. Intelligent, brave, determined & truly amazing woman. How proud we all are of her, and the accomplishments she achieved during her life. Love from:Great-g-g-grand-daughter, Irene Davie
