Seneca B. Dennis was the first postmaster at Scipioville, when the office was opened in 1836, and was succeeded by Alvah Ward, William T. Dennis, Albert S. Allen and Charles Tallman. During the years George L. Watkins, Asahel Warner, Andrew Race, Edwin Akin, N. D. Tripp, George R. Kent and Silas Elliott held the postmastership.
