"As for Jacques Labelle, baptized on 22 March 1688 at Lachenaie, he was married in a first marriage to Marie Anne Leclerc, daughter of Guillaume and of Marie-Therese Hunault, on 21 November 1712, at St-Francois; and in a second marriage to Suzanne Daze, daughter of Charles and of Barbe Cartier. Fifteen new descendants, fruits of these two marriages, proudly bore the last name of Labelle. Jacques was buried at St-Vincent-de-Paul, on 16 December 1748."
