Joseph  married  Thérèse LAGARDE (BELLEGARDE) 4 November 1799 in Pointe-aux-Trembles, Montréal, Lower Canada* .  The couple had (at least) 1 child.
Thérèse LAGARDE (BELLEGARDE)  was born 15 November 1781 in Pointe-aux-Trembles, Montréal, Québec, Canada* (L'Enfant-Jésus-de-la-Pointe-aux-Trembles).  Thérèse died 8 May 1859 in Québec Province, Canada (Quebec).  Thérèse was the child of Etienne BELLEGARDE (BELGARDE) and Marie PROVOST (PREVOST).

Joseph CHARTIER died 29 March 1867 in Mascouche, Canada East .
