Hugh Estes, 54, Buried in Rapid City

Hugh Estes passed away at his home north of Wall on Friday Morning, October 8, after a long illness.

Funeral services were held at Wall, with Rev. Rew Waltz, as Pastor, music was furnished by Mrs. Hatton and Mrs. Gardner, with Mrs. Lila Johnson at the piano. Burial was at Rapid City.

Obituary

Hugh Pryor Estes was born in Lead, South Dakota, September 22, 1889. He spent his early boyhood at Nemo. He moved with his parents to a ranch north of Wall in 1906.

He was married to Charlotte Lundring, at Canby, Minnesota, October 18, 1916, and located on their present home north of Wall where they have resided ever since.

Mr. Estes has been ill for the past three years. Everything known to medical science was used, but to no avail. He passed away early Friday morning, October 8, 1943.

He is survived by his wife, and three children: Mrs. Estelle Crowell, now residing at Wall, Elmer, with the U.S. Navy, San Francisco, California, and Hugh
