Death
Mrs. Catherine Hollingsworth, mother of our fellow townsman, Henry Hollingsworth, died on last Monday afternoon, aged 87 years and 10 months. She was probably the oldest person in the county. She moved to this county with her husband, Carter Hollingsworth from North Carolina, in an early day. There were only two or three houses in Terra Haute when they passed through the village on their way to this place, and Indians and wild game were numerous in these regions then. The deceased was a member of the Friends Church. Her remains were interred in Thomas Cemetery on yesterday afternoon, Rev. W.L. Little performing the last sad rites at the grave.
