'Adams, Mass - May 12 - August Bergmann, a well-known German resident of this town, shot and killed himself about noon today. Mr. Bergmann had been despondent for some time because of inability to find work and for several days had been acting strangely. He was absent from dinner this noon and his family became alarmed. his son went looking for him on a hillside toward which the man was seen going earlier in the day, and found his father's body with a bullet hole in his head. Bergman leaves a widow and four children, who reside on Willow Street.'
