Obituary
In Greenfield, N.Y. on the 13th inst. Mr. Preston Denton, agesd 71 years. Mr. D. was a volunteer under Col. Ethan Allen at the taking of Ticonderoga in 1775, and was subsequently taken prisoner with Col. Allen at Montreal, and sent to England, during which period his sufferings, with those of his companions, were severe. On his return, he settled in Saratgoga county, and has resided in Greenfield more than thirty years.
