George W. Salisbury
b. about 1813, New York
d. July 16, 1851, Oregon City, Oregon Territory
Possible parents: Cummings Salisbury and Elizabeth Mosher
Relationship unproven.
The 1830 census provides positive evidence that Cummings had a male child of approximately the right age to be George W. Salisbury.
After the death of Cummings in 1844, his young daughter, Mary Jane, goes to Valparaiso, Indiana. This is the only Salisbury family living there at that time (as far as I know). Also, interesting that George was born in NY around 1813. That's where Cummings was at that time.
