Joseph-Marie  married  Angélique TAREAU dite CHAMPAGNE 16 August 1768 in Yamaska, Province of Québec, Canada .  The couple had (at least) 16 children.
Angélique TAREAU dite CHAMPAGNE  was born 5 April 1751 in Château-Richer, Québec, Canada (La Visitation-de-Notre-Dame de Chateau-Richer).  Angélique died 25 April 1791 in Saint-Ours, Québec, Canada (Immaculée-Conception).  Angélique was the child of François-De-Sales TAREAU dit CHAMPAGNE and Thérèse ALLAIRE.

Joseph-Marie FONTAINE died 14 August 1826 in Saint-Jude, Lower Canada.
