Saint-François-de-la-Rivière-du-Sud: Found in Chaudière-Appalaches, this town is known for its agricultural landscape and historic charm.
The municipality of Saint-François-de-la-Rivière-du-Sud rests on a vast fertile plain crossed from west to east by the Rivière du Sud. Its thriving economy is based as much upon its prosperous dairy and hog farms as it is on its dynamic industrial sector. Anchored to a small rocky rise, the village stretches out over one kilometre and, slightly back from the main road, is home to an institutional site recognized by the Government of Québec and chosen as the regional heritage symbol. The municipality extends to the west along a small picturesque road. www.stfrancois.ca

The Pierre-Laurent-Bédard pavilion owes its name to the parish priest who built it.
Built in 1763, this is the oldest building still standing.
By its architectural form, the first presbytery of our parish, is similar to the mode of construction of the French regime. Constructed of stones embedded in the cement, it is covered with a roof with double slope, pierced by two dormers on each side.
