Georgia O'Keeffe, an iconic American artist, was born on November 15, 1887, in Sun Prairie, Wisconsin. She was the second of seven children in her family. O'Keeffe showed an early interest in art, and her parents encouraged her creativity. In 1905, she attended the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and later studied at the Art Students League in New York City.
