Occupation: Locomotive Engineer, Railroad

My "Grand Dad" worked as a Locomotive Engineer on The Georgia Railroad for over 40 years. He became a Locomotive Engineer at age 19 and LOVED his job. He was required to retire because of old age. I rode on the train's engine with him his last day at work. When I asked are you ready to retire, he told me, "No. I don't want to quit." He was a big man at about 6'3" and REALLY physically powerful - but he was a gentle giant who very rarely lost his temper. I miss him.
