Leonard Kimball, an old man of 70 years, committed suicide at Tatnuck last night, and the reason why is as follows:
- A family trouble has existed in his family for some months past, caused by the fact that he beat his wife fearfully at times when influenced by passion. The old lady took the matter as meekly as possible at first, but of late she has declard that she could not live in that manner much longer. A son, living in this city, went over there yesterday, and the old lady declared her intention of returning home with him. He, knowing the condition of family affairs, assented, but her husband refused to allow her to leave the house. The son then came to the police office in this city, obtained the services of an officer, and returned to Tatnuck. The old man begged hard for his wife to remain with him, saying that he would be kind, &c., but she was afraid to trust him.
