François BOURC (BOURG) was the child of Antoine BOURQUE (BOURG) (BOURC) and Antoinette LANDRY

"Oldest son Francois, born in c1643, a farmer like his father, married Marguerite, daughter of Michel Boudrot, at Port-Royal in c1665. They had seven children, including two sons who married into Melanson family. Their daughters married into the Richard, Maissonat dit Baptiste, LeBlanc, and Melanson families. Francois died at Port-Royal by 1686. Marguerite remarried to Jean Babineau. Francois older son settled at Chignecto. His younger son, Alexandre dit Bellehumeur, settled at Minas. In July 1711, on recommendation of an influential Récollet missionary, Alexandre dit Bellehhumeur was appointed judge, notary, and "expert land-surveyor." In December 1744, however, the Nova Scotia Council fired him as notary and replaced him with René LeBlanc."
