Charles  married  Mathilda LEMONDE 23 September 1845 in Detroit, Michigan, USA .  The couple had (at least) 9 children.
Mathilda LEMONDE  was born abt. 1826 in Québec Province, Canada (Quebec).  Mathilda died 3 November 1869 in Detroit, Michigan, USA. 

Charles  married  (2) Matilda DUFAULT DELARUE 31 December 1869 in Detroit, Michigan, USA .  The couple had (at least) 4 children.
Matilda DUFAULT DELARUE  was born August 1835 in Verchères, Québec, Canada (Saint-François-Xavier-de-Vercheres).  Matilda died 2 December 1923 in Detroit, Michigan, USA. 

Charles TARTE died 2 November 1906 in Grosse Pointe, Michigan, USA.
