Obituary
Sac Sun:

'Last week, Thursday morning, at about eight o'clock, the people of our town were startled by the report that Mr. S. W. Winger was found dead in bed. A coroner's inquest was held, and the jury decided that he died of heart disease. Mr. Winger was fifty-four years old and a consistent member of the M. E. Church, at his death, and a good citizen, esteemed by all. The funeral services were conducted by Rev. R. M. Kiernan assisted by Rev. Linder and Dickey, on Sabbath morning at eleven o'clock. The funeral was the largest ever held in Schaller.' From the same source: 'Coroner Brown was summoned to Schaller last Thursday to investigate the death of Mr. S. W. Winger, who died suddenly. The indications pointed to heart disease as the cause.'
