Marriage notes:
Théophile Doré - bachelor, age 23 of Russell, occupation Farmer, son of Eusèbé Doré and Marcelline Trudeau, married Marguerite Héry - spinster, age 19 of Russell, Ontario, daughter of Théophile Héry and Marguerite Beaudin, on August 20th 1883, at Embrun, Russell County, the priest was Rev. C. Guillaume, and the witnesses were Antoine Paquette and Odilon Gagnon.
From the Register of B. M and D of Saint-Jacques, page 398 for the year 1883, Marriage no. 17, it says, in English:
"The 20th of August, 1883, we, the undersigned, after the publications of three bans of marriage (?something) of this parish, Théophile Doré, farmer, of this parish, and son major (meaning his father was dead) of Eusèbé Doré and of Marcelline Trudeau, of the other part and Marguerite Héry, the major daughter (meaning her father was dead) of Théophile Héry, day labourer, and Marguerite Beaudin, of the other part, There were no impediments, and it
was by mutual consent. The marriage benediction was given and present were Antoine Paquette and Odilon Gagnon.
