Marie-Rose MOUSSEAU dite DÉSILETS  was born 21 October 1707 in Saint-Sulpice, Québec, Canada.  Marie-Rose died 17 February 1734 in Saint-Sulpice, Québec, Canada.  Marie-Rose was the child of Jacques MOUSSEAU dit DESILETS and Marie-Anne DAUNAIS (DAUNAY).

Marie-Jeanne CADERON ST-PIERRE DITE RENARD  was born 5 January 1710 in Varennes, Québec, Canada (Sainte-Anne-de-Varennes).  Marie-Jeanne died 27 April 1748 in Lavaltrie, Québec, Canada (Saint-Antoine).  Marie-Jeanne was the child of Charles-Pierre CADRON RENARD dit ST-PIERRE and Marie-Madeleine LANIEL dite DESROSIERS SOULANGE.

Nicolas  married  (3) Angelique PILOTE 19 August 1748 in Lavaltrie, Canada, New France .  The couple had (at least) 2 children.
Angelique PILOTE  was born 14 February 1718 in Beauport, Québec, Québec, Canada (Notre-Dame-de-la-Nativité-de-Beauport).  Angelique died 14 April 1779 in Lavaltrie, Québec, Canada (Saint-Antoine).  Angelique was the child of Jean PILOTE and Marie-Catherine BRASSARD.

Did You Know? Québec Généalogie - What is a 'dit/dite' name?  When the first settlers came to Québec from France it was a custom to add a 'dit' nickname to the surname. The English translation of 'dit' is 'said'. The Colonists of Nouvelle France added 'dit' names as distinguishers. A settler might have wanted to differentiate their family from their siblings by taking a 'dit' name that described the locale to which they had relocated. The acquiring of a 'dit' name might also be the result of a casual adoption, whereby the person wanted to honor the family who had raised them. Another reason was also to distinguish themselves by taking as a 'dit' name the town or village in France from which they originated. This custom ended around 1900 when people began using only one name, either the 'dit' nickname or their original surname.
