Berthierville, Québec, Canada - Eglise Ste Geneviève de Berthierville Built in 1787. http://www.migrations.fr/eglisesdenosancetres.htm

Berthierville (pop. 4,200)
The modest Autray Seigneury was conceded to Jean Bourdon, an engineer of the King of France, in 1637. The land corresponds to the sector Berthier-en-bas, or Berthierville, along the shores of the St. Lawrence. The Berthier Seigneury, which was much more extensive, was conceded to Sieur de Berthier in 1672 before passing through several hands. It corresponds in part to Berthier-en-haut, or Berthier. In 1765 both these traces of land were acquired by James Cuthbert, an aide-de-camp of General Wolfe during the battle of the Plains of Abraham in Quebec City, as well as a friend of the Duke of Kent. He developed the land mainly for use as a vacation spot.
