Amos married Peace Clark, February 4, 1767 -- NOTE: He went to Shaftsbury, Vermont., where he became a man of some distinction in civil and military life. Captain Amos Huntington, Shaftsbury Company in Colonel Moses Robinson's regiment, Vermont Militia Infantry, called into continental service on June 29, 1777, by Major General Arthur St. Clair, for the defence of Fort Ticonderoga during the northern invasion of Lieut.-Gen. John Burgoyne's army.
