Pamela, know as Pom, was the 6th child of Mark and Eugenie Cantin. She married Herman (Earl) Facteau (Facto) in June of 1920. They had two daughters. Rita was born in 1926 and Dorothy was born in 1928.
Pom divorced Herman (Earl) Facteau by 1933 when she was living in the home of her sister, Laura Meyer, brother-in-law Herman Meyer, and future husband, Earnest (Ernie) Meyer at 242 East Eagle Street in Boston. Ernie was the son of her brother-in-law Herman Meyer. Ernie was the third child of Herman from his first wife, Hattie Clark Meyer, who had died in 1921 shortly after the birth of their 9th child.
By the 1940 census, Pom was married to Ernie Meyer. She, Ernie, and her two daughters, Rita and Dorothy, were living on Falcon Street in Boston.
Pom and Ernie were still married in 1954 according to that year's Malden, Mass directory. They were divorced sometime between then and when Ernie married Rita Marie Puopolo in June of 1957.

The microwave oven was invented accidentally in 1945 by Percy Spencer, a Raytheon engineer. While testing a magnetron, he noticed microwaves melted a candy bar in his pocket. Experimenting further, he discovered microwaves could cook food quickly. Raytheon patented the process, and by 1947, they built the first commercial microwave oven, called the 'Radarange.' Initially used in commercial settings, microwaves becomes affordable for home use by the 1960s and 1970s, revolutionizing cooking.

1962 - The Cuban Missile Crisis was a tense 13-day standoff in October 1962 between the United States and the Soviet Union over the installation of Soviet nuclear missiles in Cuba, just 90 miles from the U.S. coast. In 1963, on November 22, President John F. Kennedy was assassinated in Dallas, Texas, while riding in a motorcade through Dealey Plaza. Johnson was sworn in as the 36th President of the United States shortly after Kennedy's death.
