Joseph VIAU dit LESPÉRANCE  was born 5 March 1702 in Longueuil, Québec, Canada (Saint-Antoine-de-Longueuil).  Joseph died 6 July 1737 in Montréal, Québec, Canada (Sault-au-Récollet) (Côte-St-Michel) (Côte-St-Paul).  Joseph was the child of Jacques VIAU dit LESPÉRANCE and Marie-Thérèse ROBIN dite LAPOINTE.

Marie-Anne  married  (2) Andre CORBEIL 19 July 1740 in Saint-Sulpice, Canada, New France .  The couple had (at least) 3 children.
Andre CORBEIL  was born 18 January 1696 in Pointe-aux-Trembles, Montréal, Québec, Canada* (L'Enfant-Jésus-de-la-Pointe-aux-Trembles).  Andre was the child of Andre CORBEIL dit TRANCHEMONTAGNE and Charlotte POUTRE dite LAVIGNE.

Marie-Anne  married  (3) Jacques LAUZON 12 October 1778 in Terrebonne, Province of Québec, Canada .  Jacques LAUZON  was born 27 September 1710 in Rivière-des-Prairies, Montréal, Québec, Canada (Saint-Joseph-de-la-Rivière-des-Prairies)*.  Jacques died 31 August 1786 in Terrebonne, Québec, Canada (Saint-Louis-de-Terrebonne).  Jacques was the child of Gilles LAUZON and Marie-Anne GROULX.

Did You Know? Québec Généalogie - What is a 'dit/dite' name?  When the first settlers came to Québec from France it was a custom to add a 'dit' nickname to the surname. The English translation of 'dit' is 'said'. The Colonists of Nouvelle France added 'dit' names as distinguishers. A settler might have wanted to differentiate their family from their siblings by taking a 'dit' name that described the locale to which they had relocated. The acquiring of a 'dit' name might also be the result of a casual adoption, whereby the person wanted to honor the family who had raised them. Another reason was also to distinguish themselves by taking as a 'dit' name the town or village in France from which they originated. This custom ended around 1900 when people began using only one name, either the 'dit' nickname or their original surname.
