Biography
DUFOUR - nickname given to a baker, the tenant of the four banal (paying bread oven of the seigniory).

Robert Dufour, son of François and Françoise Morin, is from Lisieux in Normandy. He contracts marriage on May 1, 1694 with Anne Migneron; daughter of Laurent and Anne St-Denis. She died around 1702, after having had 3 children. Robert remarried on August 26, 1703 to Louise Gagné, daughter of Ignace and Barbe Dodier, with whom he had a daughter. He settled in St-Joachim and took part in numerous transactions in the region, related to the inheritance of his first wife and the fact that he was guardian of minor children. Of his death, we only know the date of the inventory of his property requested by his widow on June 26, 1720.
