Phebe and James David married June 4, 1828 in Clinton County, Ohio and had nine children. Elizabeth Ann Farrier, born September 8, 1828, William Farrier, born September 7, 1831, and George Washington Farrier, born June 23, 1833 were born in Ohio. Jemima Farrier, born September 26, 1835, Ambrose Farrier, born in 1836, Andrew Bird Farrier, born in 1839 and Anne E. (Annie) Farrier, born December 16, 1843 were born after they moved to Iowa, on their way to Oregon (long stopover). The emigrated in 1845, filing a claim in French Prairie. Francis Marion Farrier was born in 1846. David was born after James David died in December, 1848.
