Jean M. Rollison

Mrs. Jean Merritt Rollison, 23, South Canaan, Lake Ariel RD 3, died unexpectedly Friday at St. Josephs Hospital, Carbondale, after an illness. She was the wife of Dale Rollison. Born in Carbondale, daughter of Mrs. Mildred McDonald Merritt Meholic, Mayfield, and the late Lester Merritt, she lived 13 years in Waymart and the past four years at South Canaan. She was a graduate of Waymart High School and attended the Free Methodist Church, South Canaan. - Also surviving are a son, Dale Jr., at home; three sisters, Mrs. Myron Hedgelon, Douglasville, Ga.; Mrs. Robert Devaney, Browndale; and Michelle Merritt, May-field; and several nieces and nephews. The funeral will be Monday at 11 a.m. from the Herbert E. Jenkins Funeral Home, 269 Belmont St., Waymart, with services by the Rev. Donald Vanderhoff, Free Methodist Church, South Canaan. Interment, East Canaan Cemetery. Viewing, Sunday, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
