Alvin J. Gagnon Sr.

Chicopee - Alvin J. Gagnon Sr., 87 of Davenport Street, a retired 45-year employee of the Iasco Tool Co., died yesterday in a local nursing home. He retired in 1964. A lifelong resident of Chicopee, he was a communicant of Holy Name Church and a member of Knights of Columbus, Elder Council 69. His wife, the former Theonile F. Demers, died in 1956. He leaves a son, Alvin J. Jr. of Chicopee; a daughter, Anne Potter of Wilbraham; six grandchildren and a great-grandchild. The funeral will be Thursday morning at Grise Funeral Home and in the church with burial in St. Aloysius Cemetery, Indian Orchard. Memorial contributions may be made to Holy Name School, Chicopee.
