Marie-Genevieve  married  Joseph MERCIER 19 July 1751 in Saint-François-de-la-Rivière-du-Sud, Canada, New France .  The couple had (at least) 15 children.
Joseph MERCIER  was born 27 September 1731 in Berthier-sur-Mer, Québec, Canada (Berthier-en-Bas) (Berthier).  Joseph died 21 July 1810 in Saint-François-de-la-Rivière-du-Sud, Québec, Canada (Saint-François-de-Sales-de-la-Rivière-du-Sud).  Joseph was the child of Joseph MERCIER and Elisabeth-Angelique LEBRUN dite CARRIER.

Marie-Genevieve ASSELIN died 2 April 1816 in Saint-François-de-la-Rivière-du-Sud, Lower Canada .
